Silesia RFID Hub

We come from Jantar Sp. z o.o., a company that has been implementing automatic identification technologies for over 30 years. Today, we implement projects based on advanced equipment and identification technologies. RFID technology is of special importance to us and the brand Jwave Silesia RFID Hub is dedicated specifically to it. We want to show, that RFID can be used everywhere, where identification and control of processes and their elements is required.

Jwave is a group of professionals who focus on providing a solution that meets the needs of the customer. Our team consists of engineers, designers, and programmers who can prepare advanced automatic identification projects.

Our experience in running AUTO ID projects and our long-standing presence in the market allows us to offer dedicated solutions for manufacturing, automotive, retail, storage and logistics, transportation, culture, and healthcare.

The Jwave lab is a place where technology is meant to be accessible to everyone. Dedicated zones for commerce, logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, or agriculture allow presenting solutions in a close-to-natural environment. Jwave Laboratory is located in Bielsko-Biała, in Beskidzki Inkubator Technologiczny.

Application

When designing an RFID environment for companies, we focus on ensuring that the solution optimizes and speeds up work, while eliminating errors. The system consists of readers, loggers, antennas, and labels, and it is all tied together by software, which we customize to the industry and work specifics. The system works for you and not the other way around.

An RFID reader is a device that both transmits and receives radio waves and communicates with tags via antennas. These tags are attached to objects, cards, products, wristbands, and boxes, among others. They do not need power and stay active for years. They can be equipped with a power source, making their life and usefulness even longer.

RFID – application

?
Want to improve product quality and increase production efficiency

Each product or component is marked with a barcode label. Barcodes have to be close to the reading device, and they have to be clearly visible and readable to be read. But what if the barcode is smudged with, for example, paint, oil, or dust? How long will it take to read it? Who will do it? How long will it take, and how much will it cost?

What if these inconveniences were eliminated by replacing the bar code with another solution that works whether the bar code is visible or not? If we could use a solution that can be read from 10 centimeters as well as from several meters? And if we add the ability to change the data in a fraction of a second? Sounds interesting?

RFID technology enables:

  1. Reading more components at the same time, regardless of whether the barcode is visible/readable or not.
  2. Elimination of errors – control, and monitoring of production and the entire supply chain.
  3. Better production management – optimization and elimination of bottlenecks.
  4. Protection against product counterfeiting.
  5. Ongoing production traceability – identification of products at every stage of production from materials used to batch numbers.
  6. Reduction of product identification time.

This data can be collected in various process support systems to later improve the production process through analysis.

RFID in commerce streamlines many processes that, based only on barcodes, are time-consuming and fraught with the risk of error.

The use of RFID solutions enables:

  1. Better management of the location of products from the moment of product receipt to the lining of the shelves, and their sale.
  2. Quick localization of products both individually and in bulk.
  3. Faster inventory – this can be done daily as many TAGs are read in a short time, inventory times are reduced by 80%.
  4. Integration with entry-exit gates to prevent theft.

Automotive

RFID technology is widely used in Automotive industry and many manufacturers have used it for years. VDA 5500 serves as a master document setting basic principles for RFID application in the Automotive industry.

The use of RFID solutions enables:

1. Easy component marking and quick identification of any component in the production process.

2. Monitoring the location of both individual parts and final products.

3. Identification of components that do not meet standards – defective components.

4. Monitoring of warehouse, and logistics processes.

5. Identification of components during the production process in difficult conditions – dust, high temperature.

6. Management of specialized packaging used for transportation and storage of the final product.

7. integration with ERP, WMS, or other systems to analyze collected data and improve processes.

Knowing the current state of assets is not only important from a business perspective, but also required by law. In addition, our RFID solutions make it possible to verify the status of assets or fixed assets assigned to a specific organizational unit.

The use of RFID solutions makes it possible to:

  1. Mark all components of assets regardless of the material from which they are made and the environment in which they are located.
  2. Shorten the time of inventory taking.
  3. Search for asset components easier and faster.
  4. Conduct inventories in shorter intervals.
  5. Prevent theft.
  6. Improve management of assets – new components or withdrawals.
  7. Integrate the software with various systems in the company.
  8. Control of change of location of units included in the inventory.

Warehouse management requires speed and precision. Many components are received and issued throughout the day. The challenges are eliminating errors and long execution times and AutoID comes to aid.

The use of RFID solutions makes it possible to:

  1. Precisely record warehouse processes – receipt or release.
  2. Eliminate release and picking errors.
  3. Increase productivity.
  4. Faster search for products on the shelves in case of their misplacement.
  5. Quickly report and relieve the burden on employees.
  6. Better management of returnable containers.
  7. Verify the correctness of products issued to the customer – reduction of claim costs.
  8. Combining WMS and proper labeling of storage bays, we can automatically collect information about where products are stored.

The speed and precision of loading makes us increase efficiency while minimizing the cost of returns and complaints. Everyone expects goods to arrive at the right time and completed exactly as ordered.

The use of RFID solutions enables:

  1. Faster loading through automatic control of transported items.
  2. Error elimination – RFID gate before loading – additional control of order completeness.
  3. Records of vehicles leaving and arriving.
  4. Quick reading of a large number of products even inside the vehicle.
  5. Applicability regardless of working conditions – dust, dirt, humidity.
  6. Use of GS1-compliant logistics labels.
  7. Theft prevention.
  8. Deliveries and shipments queueing.

The goal of the medical sector is to provide health care for patients. It requires various types of equipment and supplies, which are often very expensive. In addition, some equipment requires periodic technical maintenance. It is important to control these assets to avoid losses.

EQUIPMENT

The use of RFID solutions enables:

  1. Planning the amount of equipment needed.
  2. Quickly finding equipment if it has not been returned to the designated location.
  3. Supervision of servicing deadlines.
  4. Prevention of equipment losses – theft, damage, loss.
  5. Saving time and money.

PATIENT CARE

RFID technology allows quick and precise identification. The use of this technology minimizes mistakes and automates the patient care processes.

The use of RFID solutions enables:

  1. Drug administration control – identification of the patient, the right drugs, and the right doses.
  2. Quick and precise localization of the patient, e.g. in memory disorders.
  3. Remote identification of the patient.
  4. Elimination of human errors.
  5. Automation of processes for collecting and recording patient information.

RFID technology, due to its wide range of applications, also works well in cultural institutions. With its help, we can not only make a very fast and precise inventory of museum exhibits but also have supervision of their location. The use of RFID for visitors, for example: in the form of wristbands, gives supervision of the number of people entering and leaving and staying in a specific area.

The use of RFID solutions enables:

  1. quick and precise inventory of exhibits and other assets,
  2. Elimination of errors and supervision of the location of exhibits,
  3. monitoring the timing and location of exhibits for loans to other institutions,
  4. automation of reminder processes for execution of e.g.: maintenance, return etc.,
  5. supervision of visitors – limits of people in a particular zone, quick information about the number of people in a particular unit – especially important when it is necessary to quickly leave the unit in emergency situations,
Product scanning in sales processes
Warehousing, picking, inventory
Production process
Admissions, releases, shipments

The versatile application of RFID technology makes it possible to identify products, people, and animals both in production processes, industry, and logistics, but also in inventory, employee control, or even collection archiving. Unlike the barcode, RFID tags do not have to be visible allowing remote management on a much larger scale.
